A little miracle...

At church this past sunday the sunday school teacher started class asking us if we had any miracles that we would like to share. I didn't share then but I would like to share the little miracle that I have experienced this past week. If you have had any contact with me at all recently you will probably be aware of the fact that I have been struggling to find a job. Last week was especially discouraging because I got turned down for two jobs, one of which I was really hoping to get. Wednesday night I was talking to my current boss, Tina, about my struggles with the job hunt and our conversation went something like this:

T: How are things going?
Me: Fine. Still struggling to find another job. It's kind of gotten to the point, though, where I just have to do my best and then leave the rest up to the Lord.
T: Have you ever taken a family history class?
Me: (somewhat confused but going with it) Yes I have. My mom actually does a lot of family history and has taught me a bit about it.
T: Then I have a job for you. My dad is looking for someone to put our family history into the computer and to check to make sure that all the dates are right and what temple work needs to be done. He asked me to find a BYU student who has taken a family history class and is good with details. Would you be interested?
Me: (absolutely stunned) I would definitely be interested. I can't tell you how much of a blessing this is.

We then ironed out the details and it's not going to be a ton of hours but it will definitely help me get by until I can find something a little more full time. Hopefully I will start sometime this week.

This experience has taught me about how the Lord really does hear our prayers and answers them and that all things happen for a reason. I still would like to find a more full time job but for now I am content with where I am at and for now maybe this is what I am supposed to be doing and not some other job.

This was my little miracle. Have you experienced one recently? If so, have you written it down?
